An independent book and
internet publishing company founded in 2003.
The Forager Press Family Friendly Network
Theforagerpress.com
is our original web site, which started out as a labor of love by company founder, Roy
Reehil. His idea was to present reliable information about topics that interested him,
along with a bookstore featuring books that he enjoyed and those that he published. As the
company grew, so did the web site, which eventually overflowed into the different sites
that you see here.
As the internet "grew up" so did the need for
more family safe web sites, hence Roy's idea for a "family-friendly" network was
born. His philosophy was simple. Provide web sites that were fun, G-rated, interesting and
reliable alongside quality products sold with excellent customer service.
The web sites listed here all adhere to Roy's philosophy,
are 100% G-rated and contain information that is accurate to the best of our knowledge and
ability.
About Our Web Sites
Theforagerpress.com
focuses on the books we publish plus a wide variety of information about the outdoors and foraging information.
We feature a Virtual
Wild Food Field Guide, Gift, Painting and Photo Galleries,
Adirondack fishing pages
and a Field guide store.
Ediblewildmushrooms.com
is all about mushrooms and mycology.
Adirondack-history.com
features a growing collection of information about the adirondacks, interesting facts,
stories, links and a timeline.
Our plans to grow include a section of legendary Adirondack characters, pioneer traditions
and a bookstore area with vintage books and photographs. Frenchlouie.com is all about Louis Seymour (AKA
Adirondack French Louie) and the classic book about him by author Harvey Dunham.
Adirondack-books.com
is an online bookstore filled with the best Adirondack literature ever written. Many
titles are from tiny publishers and are not widely available in stores or on the internet.
We also showcase the works of author William
J. O'Hern, the founder of adirondack-books.com.
At spicy-cookin.com
you'll find recipes and cookbooks and soon we'll unveil our how-to pages on a variety of
international cooking styles.
"All of our web sites are safe for you or your kids to
browse or to do research for school without any worries or embarrassment. Thanks so much
for visiting."
