The Forager Press, LLC was founded in 2003 by Roy Reehil out of a passion for the Adirondacks, it's history, flora and fauna. His goal was to publish books, sell related books and create websites containing information about the topics that interested him most in the hope that they would interest others too.
About Our Web Sites
TheForagerPress.com focuses on the books we publish and feature the works of author William J. O'Hern.
The Forager Press Adirondack Bookstore and Adirondack-books.com are our online bookstores which both feature our books, plus the best Adirondack history titles, field guides and trail guides we can find and stock. Many of our books are from tiny publishers and may not be widely available in stores or on the internet. Eventually, we plan to add a section of vintage, rare and out-of-print Adirondack books.
FrenchLouie.com is all about Louis Seymour (AKA Adirondack French Louie) and the classic book about him by author Harvey Dunham.
NoahJohnRondeau.com is a web site in memory of Noah John Rondeau, the original Adirondack Hermit and dedicated to remembering his great life story.
Adirondack-History at Adirondackana.com features information about the Adirondack Mountains and Park, including interesting facts, stories, links and a timeline. This site is under construction.
EdibleWildMushrooms.com is all about mushrooms, mushroom hunting, and other wild foods. It features our Virtual Wild Food Field Guide plus links to and recommendations of the best field guides available.
All our web sites are 100% G-rated and contain information that is accurate to the best of our knowledge and ability. We hope you enjoy them!
